Which forms of payment do you accept?
We accept Visa, Mastercard, Discover, American Express, Cash, and personal or business checks. We also offer convenient online payments.
When is payment due?
We require a 25% non-refundable deposit for any equipment reservations with the remaining balance due at delivery/pick up.
Do I need a special license or certification to use the larger equipment like skid steers, mini excavators, etc.?
No, Skid Steers, Mini Excavators and larger equipment do not require a certification or license. Our helpful and knowledgeable staff will educate you on the basic knowledge and techniques to comfortably operate larger equipment before making a reservation.
What happens if the equipment does not function properly?
Call our office immediately to let our staff know what type of problem you are experiencing. We will repair or replace the equipment as quickly as possible so that you can get back to your project. If the malfunction happens after normal business hours, please call the after hours help line at (517) 404-5590.
Can I make a reservation for equipment?
Yes! We encourage customers to make reservations in order to ensure that the equipment is available when you need it. We do require a 25% non-refundable deposit to make a reservation. You can even reserve online HERE!
What is the Damage Waiver?
The Damage Waiver is a non-refundable fee that is charged to all renters, releasing them from certain liabilities pertaining to specific types of damage(s) to the rented equipment. It is not a warranty, or rental equipment insurance policy, but more of an assurance that if damages covered by the damage waiver should occur while renting, you will not be held responsible for said damages.
What types of damage is NOT covered by the damage waiver?
Damage due to improper use
Damage due to negligence
Damage due to exceeding the rated capacity of equipment
Damage to tires, tracks, tubes, and wheels, regardless of cause
Damage from unloading, loading, or transporting equipment
Damage exceeding $500 in replacement cost
Is the Damage Waiver mandatory?
Yes, the damage waiver is mandatory on all rented equipment, unless the renter is able to provide a current certificate of insurance that includes coverage for “Construction Rental Equipment” equal to or above the replacement cost of the rented equipment. The certificate must also name LoRea Rents, LLC as an additional insured and loss payee.
How long can I rent your equipment for?
Most of our equipment can be rented on a daily, weekly, or monthly basis. A daily rental includes 8 hours of usage, a weekly rental includes 40 hours, and a monthly rental allows for 160 hours.
What if I go over my allotted hours on a machine?
Any additional machine use that is over the daily/weekly/monthly specified hours will be charged an additional hourly rate upon return of the equipment. Most of our larger rental items are billed at $50 per additional hour.
Do I have to replace the fuel in the equipment?
Yes, otherwise we charge per gallon to refuel the machine.
Do I have to clean the equipment before returning it?
Yes, we expect our equipment to be returned in the same condition that it was delivered/picked up in. If the equipment is returned in a condition less desirable than when the rental was delivered/picked up, a cleaning fee will be assessed.
